Hair Stylists
Steve Davis
Owner and master stylist, Steve Davis is the driving force
behind the excellence found at Blush. He attended
Toni & Guy Academy in Dallas, Texas and has completed
many additional certifications with Redken, Wella, Vidal
Sassoon, Sexy Hair, Bio Ionic, Aveda, Renee Furterer and
Alfaparf. Steve began his career at Salon 191 on
the Main Line in Philadelphia and then continued in Bucks
County with the distinguished David Witchell Salon, before
opening Blush with his wife, Jay.
His
expertise and unique sense of style are exemplified throughout
the studio. All stylists work closely
with Steve to complete his extensive in-house training
program before they can be certified as a Level I Stylists. He
continues his mentorship with stylists at all levels, so
that they can reach their full potential.
With over
15 years of experience in hair design, Steve has a gift
for transforming his client’s appearance. He
is most gratified by taking someone out of their comfort
zone and revealing their true potential. His
clients return to his chair not only because of his confidence and consistent
quality, but because they enjoy his open mindedness and his ability to relate
to the “real world”. Steve was recognized as a “great
hairstylist” by Philly Style Magazine in 2004.
Lea Davis-Manning
Lea Davis-Manning, a level 3 stylist, has been with Blush
since its opening in 2002. Working and training closely
with Steve Davis, Lea has developed a style of her own
reflecting her keen eye and creative energy. Her
attention to detail gives each client the highest level
of service and individual attention. She is known
as a perfectionist to her coworkers – a critical
attribute to many of those who sit in her chair. Lea
holds a Master Colorist certification and her additional
training includes courses with Aveda, Wella, Sebastian,
Renee Furterer and Alfaparf. She has also pursued
training in advanced formal design.
Ask Lea what her number one priority is (outside of Blush,
of course), and she’ll tell you her family. Hanging
out with her two young boys can often border insanity, but
in the end Lea says there’s nowhere else she’d
rather be.
Elliot Moyer
Elliot Moyer comes from a family of hair stylists. His
parents and grandfather were all salon owners and as a
child he spent a lot of time there – he literally
grew up in a hair salon. This background gives Elliot
the confidence and understanding to be a great stylist. With
many years of experience, and the guidance of Steve Davis
and his training program, Elliot is well on his way. He
is completing his certification as a master colorist and
has additional training with Sebastian, Wella, Renee Furtereer,
Alfaparf and Aveda. Elliot is a
level 3 stylist at Blush.
Ask anyone at Blush what sets
Elliot apart (besides his great talent with hair), and
they’ll tell you he’s an incredible listener – and
one that won’t offer unsolicited advice. When
he’s not at the salon,
Elliot enjoys relaxing on his favorite couch, watching movies and playing his
PlayStation - a true challenge for the father of two young girls.
Dana
White
First an artist…then a hair stylist. Dana White
began developing her career as an artist at the University
of the Arts in Philadelphia. While she enjoyed working
with two-dimensional art, Dana has always had an interest
in the beauty industry and the challenge of working in
three dimensions was what finally drew her in. Dana
trained at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute and has continued
her training with Steve Davis at Blush. She is also
completing her certification as a Master Colorist and has
additional training with Sebastian, Wella, Renee Furtereer,
Alfaparf and Aveda. She is a level 3 stylist at Blush.
Dana’s
spontaneity and zeal set her apart from her co-workers,
and her clients agree that her contagious enthusiasm and
easy conversation while in her chair bring them back.
Raul
Irizarry
Head Massage Master… Is the perfect nickname for Raul. Not only known
for his amazing hair washes but also for his charisma and charm.
Raul comes from a family of hairstylists; he spent most of his childhood learning
the trade from his mother, aunts and cousins. After High School he went on
to complete two years at West Chester University, only to realize his passion
was for doing hair.
Raul joined Blush in 2009; he completed the training program with ease and
is now a Level 1 stylist.
Raul has a great sense of humor. In the salon you may catch him singing, dancing
or rehearsing lines from his favorite movies or T.V. shows. Raul is very motivated
and focuses on bringing out the beauty and fun in everyone.
Lauren Aninsman
Cheerful, High-spirited and Friendly
Lauren's love for the beauty industry began when she was a young girl. Not only was her grandmother a hairstylist, but her aunt as well. Lauren loved to spend time at her aunt's hair salon in New York and had the opportunity to attend beauty shows at a young age.
After graduating high school, Lauren attended a year at college. It soon became clear that her love and passion was to study hair. She attended Jean Madeline in Philadelphia and graduated in 2010.
Lauren started her training at Blush in 2010. She has completed the Blush training program and has attended many color workshops at the Wella Institute in NYC. Her specialty and passion is in hair color and formal design work. Lauren is currently a Level 1 Hairstylist and also works on-location for Blush Freelance providing beautiful formal design work for weddings.
