Blush was founded on a simple belief: every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and completely comfortable being herself. Beauty is deeply personal. For many women, sitting in a salon chair means sharing insecurities, frustrations, hopes, and dreams. Yet too often, the salon experience can feel intimidating, impersonal, or focused solely on appearances. When Jay and Steve Davis founded Blush in 2002, they envisioned something different. They wanted to create a place where women could let their guard down. A place where they felt comfortable enough to be honest about what they loved, what they struggled with, and how they truly wanted to feel. A place where exceptional artistry and technical expertise were paired with genuine warmth, kindness, and connection. Their goal was never simply to create beautiful hair or flawless makeup. It was to help women feel seen, understood, and empowered—to leave feeling more confident and special than when they arrived. With little capital and even less business experience, Jay and Steve took a leap of faith and pursued a dream that was rooted in passion, perseverance, and a commitment to creating a better experience for every client who walked through their doors. On February 14, 2002, Blush was born. What began as a small salon with two employees, two styling stations, and a makeup counter quickly became much more than a business. Through every challenge, obstacle, and milestone, Jay and Steve learned that success is built not only through talent and hard work, but through relationships, trust, and an unwavering dedication to the people they serve. Today, Blush is home to a talented team of artists who share the same commitment to education, artistry, and exceptional client care that inspired its founding more than two decades ago. Jay and Steve remain incredibly grateful for the clients, team members, friends, and family who have been part of their journey. Their greatest accomplishment isn't the salon they've built—it's the relationships they've formed and the trust they've earned along the way. Because at Blush, luxury isn't about being pretentious.
